Tāneatua Police Station
Vivian Construction completed the Tāneatua Police Station for NZ Police in 2023. This project was a true community collaboration, with input from local leaders and Ngāi Tūhoe partners.
The station was purpose-built to ensure a thriving environment, with its open plan design encouraging engagement between the police and the public. Its unique features include repurposed flooring from a former cheese factory, as well as all external signs in te reo Māori - making it the first of its kind in New Zealand.
The Tāneatua Police Station has also been built with sustainability in mind, powered by solar energy for maximum efficiency.
